Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dance Teacher to join our talented team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding and expertise in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, or Tap dance styles, and have a strong passion for teaching and inspiring students. As a dance teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and challenging dance lessons, choreographing routines, and guiding students to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and execute well-structured dance classes in Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, or Tap, tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
– Teach proper dance techniques, including body alignment, posture, coordination, and musicality.
– Create and choreograph captivating dance routines that showcase the chosen dance style, while challenging and motivating students.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.
– Provide constructive feedback and individualized attention to students to help them improve their skills and reach their goals.
– Stay up-to-date with current dance trends, techniques, and industry developments to enhance teaching methods.
– Prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations, ensuring they are well-rehearsed and confident.
– Collaborate with other dance instructors and staff to coordinate events, showcases, and recitals.
– Maintain a safe and clean dance studio environment, ensuring equipment is properly used and stored.
– Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to address any concerns, provide progress reports, and promote a positive dance community.
